General Guidelines and Rules

• All competitors will need to submit an entry form even if they are registered with their group

• All vocalists will have a maximum time of 4:00 minutes

• All vocalists will compete using a back up track

• All competitors need to be 27 years of age or younger at the time of the finals event in June

• Finalists will use a back up track that needs to be submitted by: June 1, 2025

• Finalists must compete using the same song they used for the original entry

• Finalists need to perform in their best vocal performance attire

• Individual songs only (no popurris)

• Vocalists will submit an audition video for the preliminary round.

• A panel of judges will select the finalists. Only finalists will compete at the finals live competition in June.

• Payment is due upon submission unless the school will be paying. Make sure you select the proper payment method on your entry form.

• Submission are final. Entry fees are non-refundable.

 

Video Entry Requirements

• Video must be HORIZONTAL

• The background should be plain and free of distractions

• The backup track should be clear. Do not use tracks with background effects.

• Tracks should be with a mariachi or guitar/armonia

• The vocalist should be in plain clothes so that judging is based on vocals and performance only

• Vocalists are to use stage presence as they would in a live performance.

• Do not use/read lyrics in your submission

 

Video Submission

• Videos shall be submitted via YouTube link

• Upload your video on YouTube under UNLISTED settings

• Share the link on the entry form

• Emailed videos and links will not be accepted. Links need to be included in your entry form. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
