For the first time ever, the RGV will host it's very own mariachi conference!! This conference will host workshops for both students and teachers, performances, competitions, fun student events, a community festival and a grand concert to finish with a bang! Workshops
Workshops will be provided by instrument. Workshops will also be provided for directors. Our goal is to provide meaningful teaching that students and teachers can take back to the classroom and put into practice.
We are currently working on securing expert instructors. The list of workshop instructors will be released at a later date.
Competitions
There will be a group and vocal competition. To learn more and read the rules and guidelines click below.
Hotel Information
There are several hotel options within the convention center area. However, we are working with the City of McAllen and the hotels to reserve some discounted room blocks for this event. Click below to see preview rates.​

We are excited about our line up!! The line up will be released at a later date!!
Vendors
We are partnering up with some wonderful mariachi & music vendors to bring to the event!! Vendors will be available throughout the week. Additional vendors from the community will be available during the community festival on Friday night.

CONFERENCE VENUE

McAllen Convention Center
The McAllen Convention Center goes beyond conventions and meetings to host the most important community events. It was designed as a multi-purpose event center that caters to anything from conventions to concerts to board room meetings. It features a 60,000 sq.ft. column free exhibit hall, a grand ballroom, two boardrooms and up to 16 breakout rooms for meetings and smaller events.
GRAND CONCERT

McAllen Performing Arts Center
This stunning 93,000 square foot facility aims to provide a wide variety of nationally recognized productions of music, dance and theater. Since the opening in November 2016, the performing arts center stage has been graced by the presence of Tony Bennett, John Milton, as well as Broadway hit shows such as Annie, Jersey Boys, and Mamma Mia. The City of McAllen is committed to enhancing the arts and cultural experience by delivering the most advanced performing arts center to include 1,800 seats with three levels of seating, and a four-story tower.
